Oct 4, 2009 update

From my Uncle Steve on the 4th floor ICU waiting room at the Mayo Clinic:

UPDATE 8:00PM Sun Oct 4

Operation Breath of Life

Rick has now completed his 24 Hr "Cruise on the Arctic Sun" (name of the Temp Management System)
but is still sedated & resting comfortably. It is now a "Pray, wait & see" night. Continue to
pray for Rick's brain & body to respond to this procedure. We will not know any more info tonight, The Team of doctors will meet with the other specialists in the morning (actual time unknown at this time) to evaluate Rick's responses to the voice and stimulus commands.
Thanks for your continued thoughts & prayers for Rick, Debbie, and his family.
Thank you & Keep looking UP!!

Love to ALL of you Everywhere
Steve

Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends
all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

If you want to call for more personal info, feel free to call my cell at 305-987-7716
I would ask that you put my phone number on your cell phone and contact me for
additional info rather than call Debbie. She would love to talk to you; but if she is busy with
Rick or the doctors, it would be easier for you to contact me. Thank you for your understanding.
